Inside your company, the product has a name. In your industry in
Vietnam, it has another. The buyer in Rotterdam or Chicago searching
for it uses a third — usually some combination of the product, a
sourcing word, and a country. Get that mismatch wrong and you can do
everything else correctly and still be invisible.
The second failure is structural. A site built as one long homepage
with anchor links has exactly one page for a search engine to rank. A
buyer searching for a specific product category needs a specific page
about that category to land on.
The third is content written for the wrong reader. A page addressed to
domestic customers, translated, will not answer the questions an
importer asks: can you meet this volume, what are your terms, what
certifications do you hold, who else do you supply, how long is a
sample run.
SEO for exporters is mostly these three things done carefully. The
technical work matters, but it is rarely what was holding you back.
